Due Diligence Ukraine

An international business conglomerate asked Vesper to perform a due diligence investigation into a potential partner in the Ukraine. Using both open source intelligence and a network of individuals on site, Vesper found evidence of deviations from due diligence by the potential partner.

Mission

To investigate and establish, on the basis of open sources intelligence gathering and the use of an informal human network of local individuals, whether any indications might be retrieved suggesting malpractice or any other deviations from due diligence pertaining to the parties mentioned in this document.

Conclusion

In as much as the web has yielded all of its information on Enterprise X and on its owner and CEO, there was initially nothing to suggest any wrongdoings on their part. Having screened some thousand hits and having used a significant number of search phrases, no compromising information was thus retrieved, either for the company or for its owner Mr X or its CEO Mr Y. When putting to good use the informal local human network at Vesper’s disposal in Kiev, it was, however, disclosed that deviations from due diligence had, indeed, occurred.
