Code of Conduct

Vesper Group’s capacity to act as a responsible, professional and liable company and partner depends on its staff ability to uphold and promote the highest standard and ethics in their daily work and behaviour. All staff members are collectively responsible to adhere to and maintain these standards. Managers have a particular responsibility to set a good example, encourage and ensure compliance with the standards that will contribute to a good working environment for staff, sub-contractors, partners, and clients. Furthermore, Vesper Group expects all partners and sub-contractors to fully understand, respect and apply the Code of Conduct. Vesper Group is a Signatory Company to the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers (ICoC) and as such commit to operate in accordance with the ICoC.

Vesper Group's Code of Conduct is intended to serve as a guide for staff, partners and sub-contractors to make ethical decisions in their professional lives and at times private lives, and is designed to assist staff, partners and sub-contractors to understand their obligations and responsibilities placed upon them while working for and cooperating with Vesper Group.

Adherence to the Code of Conduct will contribute to minimizing a negative impact on the surrounding environment and communities in which Vesper Group work, and maintain a high public profile and liable reputation of Vesper Group that will ensure continuation of the development and expansion of the company.

VALUES AND GUIDING PRINCIPLES

While working for and cooperating with Vesper Group, it is of outmost importance for all staff and partners to respect and adhere to the following values and fundamental principles:

    1. Behaviour and conduct reflect and adhere to the universal values of the United Nations (Universal Declaration of Human Rights), including respect of human rights, human dignity, equal rights of men and women, non discrimination, social justice and security. 
    2. Compliance with the national laws and regulations that exist in the countries where Vesper Group do business. 
    3. Exercise restraint and caution in a manner consistent with applicable international guidelines regarding the local use of force, including the UN principles on the Use of Force and Firearms by Law Enforcement Officials and the UN Code of Conduct for Law Enforcement Officials, as well as best practices developed by Companies, civil society and governments. 
    4. Compliance with Vesper Group’s own policy regarding Rules for the Use of Force (RUF). 
    5. Compliance and respect for the labour conventions as established under the leadership of International Labour Organisation (ILO), including the fundamental ILO conventions (freedom of association and protection of the right to organise, abolition of forced labour, minimum age, worst forms of child labour, non-discrimination etc).
    6. Support to the ILO driven principle to promote opportunities for men and women to obtain decent and productive work in conditions of freedom, equity, security, and dignity. 
    7. At all times maintain highest professionalism, ethics, and integrity in the work. 
    8. Demonstrate discretion and maintain confidentiality as required. 
    9. Establish and maintain constructive and respectful working relations within Vesper Group, with partners, sub-contractors, and clients, also taking into account the communities and environment in which Vesper Group do business.
    10. Prevent and oppose all forms of exploitation of vulnerable individuals and abuse of power. 
    11. Ensure that all activities are in full compliance with international standards and ethics and will not contribute to any harmful or criminal event or practice.
