History
Vesper Group and its predecessor SSP was founded in 2004 with the ambition to provide security solutions to corporate enterprises, authorities and non-governmental organizations operating in risk markets around the world.
In the beginning of 2008 the company's management changed and we have since gradually refined our portfolio and organization. Early in 2008 a travel security service was developed jointly with Europeiska Travel Insurances and the Swedish Trade Council, which incorporates proactive situational security awareness training for business travelers and expatriates. The same year we signed a framework agreement with the Swedish Foreign Ministry, which gave us a platform for permanent regional presence in four countries; Sudan, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
2009 we decided to change our name to Vesper Group and have since then expanded our portfolio with an Analyses & Assessments department that currently produces and updates some 120 country risk analyses. During 2009 and 2010 we have delivered capacity building training for the German organization GTZ and UNHCR in the field of personal security awareness training and security driver training. These courses were both held at our training facilities in Sweden and at the client's premises in Islamabad. During this time we have also deployed three Close Protection Teams in two different countries: Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Today Vesper Group of Sweden has five subsidiaries, in Cyprus, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tanzania and Uganda complimented by permanent representation in Iraq, South Africa, Brazil, Kenya and Costa Rica. We currently employ in excess of 260 people across our companies and we have the same number of external specialist consultants attached to us. Our permanent staff also manages on a day-to-day basis more than 250 local national security staff.
Vesper Group is a true one-stop shop when it comes to delivering security solutions in risk markets.
